Reforming Our Talents (1 Corinthians 12-13, Ephesians 4:1-16)
Group Guides | Sharing the gospel, sharing our lives (1 Thessalonians 2:8)
By way of introduction: Do you have any special hidden talents you’d like to tell us about?
Read 1 Corinthians 12-13
What is the church situation like in Corinth? (Are they gifted? Are they united? Are they loving each other?)
(See Chapters 1, 3, 4 of 1st Corinthians)
What are ‘spiritual’ gifts? And why are Christians given these gifts? (See also Ephesians 4:11-16)
Are some gifts more important than others? (Why/Why not?)
How do 1 Corinthians 12-13 & Ephesians 4 shape how we view the different members of Christ’s body, their gifts, and their importance? (Including ourselves)
How does love transform the way we use, and think about, our gifts/talents?
How can you better serve and use the talents God has given you to help our church ‘build itself up in love’ and attain Christ-like maturity?
Pray in response to God’s word to us about our talents.
