Read Genesis 18
1. The Lord asks, “why did Sarah laugh…?” Let’s discuss, why did Sarah laugh?
2. It’s helpful to see that verse 14 could read: “Is anything too hard (or wonderful) for the Lord?”
a. What does it mean that there is nothing too “wonderful” for the Lord?
b. Does this mean that the Lord God gives us whatever we want in life? Why/why not
3. In verses 16 – 21, why does God give Abraham the inside information on what he is about to do toward Sodom and Gomorrah?
4. How does verse 19 show the framework for how God saves people and relates to us who are saved?
5. As Abraham prays to the Lord, talking to him about Sodom and Gomorrah – what does he base his plea on?
6. How does Genesis 18 shape how we pray as a church?
7. What things are not too wonderful for the Lord, that we could pray for?
